We lived about miles apart for the first 2 years. A lot of Mormons think that good people will obviously recognize the truthfulness of the church and quickly join. It's like talking to a wall. I hope you can make this work out. My husband has gone from proselytizing and thinking he knows it all to a real spiritual seeker, albeit with a strong testimony in the church. Mormon decried it was all a lie, an anti mormon lie. This is the type of doctrine that Joseph rejected and so have the leaders of the church. The idea of a rich doctor is almost antiquated. I had many, many friends who moved this quickly during courtship, too. I was going to be having leftovers of everything; time, energy, etc.
I believe in temple marriage, and in the importance of those covenants. He did 5 years of residency and a one year fellowship and has been in practice for nearly 7 years. You'll know pretty quick where she stands. Its was written in shorthand so its hard to read. When he comes home he's so exhausted and just wants to veg out and this leaves me alone again. Best to all of you, and may God Fate help us all. We have a happy marriage. I've done the pre-med, med school, residency, etc. First and most importantly, I see major trust issues in your future if you both think the other is brainwashed. There will be pressure to go to church, marry in the temple, Yada Yada You will want to make sure you're ready to battle this for years, maybe a lifetime.
